Do saving money or a clear conscience - "I'm using environmentally friendly electricity" - reduce my willingness to save energy?
The project "Rebound Effects by Switching to Renewable Energies – Investigation of consumers and prosumer households" investigates
whether such rebound effects occur and how they can be mitigated.
The aim of the project is to find ways to avoid rebound effects that damage the environment and, ideally, to further reduce consumers' energy consumption.
The project is led by the Institute for Ecological Economy Research (IÖW) and implemented together with the Institute for Future Energy Consumer Needs and Behavior (FCN) and the Fraunhofer ISI.
The project involves a number of practice partners: consumer centers, climate protection agencies and companies that offer services for self-generation and the purchase of renewable energies.
Do you have questions to the project or are you in need for more information about our workshops, handouts etc.?
We are looking forward to your message.
